Appropriate for first, second, third and fourth graders.
At Eco-Camp we will learn about what makes a healthy and sustainable environment. We’ll explore ways we can help our earth stay clean and be a good home to all creatures. This camp will foster an appreciation for nature, an understanding of how humans and the environment are connected, and encourage children to play outdoors and explore nature everyday.
Monday: Learn renewable vs. non-renewable resources
Scavenger hunt for energy hogs
Tuesday: Recycle, Refuse, Reuse
Make your own recycling bin and “Reuse Robot”
Wednesday: Wake up from winter
Be a detective in search of signs of spring, create a flower bowl for your table
Thursday: Global Connections
Learn animals that live in the rainforest, put up bird houses in the Greenberg Reserve
Friday: Green Hour
Play outside, read outside, snack outside, enjoy the outdoors
$20 a day or $90 for the week. For Friends of NETC $17 a day or $78 for the week.
Children can come each program or choose which days they would like to attend. Prices include mid-morning snack.
